Play Your Role
These are the scripted and oftentimes on-the-move shows that invite you to be part of their storylines. No worries: rehearsals are not required. Just a willingness to participate, even if they drag you away from your friends and make you an integral part of the plot without telling you why. So, buy your ticket, wear comfortable shoes, follow the rules, maybe even have a confidence-boosting adult beverage of choice to steel your nerves, and come along for what might be the participatory experience of a lifetime.
Inspired by the Dickens' classic, reimagined for the spooky season, Jacob Marley rattles his chains again, but now he has business with you. You’ll play yourself, or the version of yourself you think you know. You’ll cross paths with spirits of an altogether different sort, revisit half-forgotten Halloweens, and find yourself suspended somewhere between memory and dream.

The Butterfly Effect
What would you change if you could go back in time? You are invited to the grand re-opening of The Connection Cafe, a family-run cafe that has a very special secret. At this cafe, people have been rumored to travel through time. Who knows, maybe you’ll be next? In this immersive and interactive experience, audience members will have the chance to touch upon these characters’ past, present, and futures as they are whisked into a world of magical realism.

Wells classic is reimagined in this immersive mash-up that finds characters from several of the science fiction master's stories thrown together in 1890's London to watch the results of daring to toy with time. Memorable characters from The Invisible Man, War of the Worlds and more join in the festivities.

You have responded to a Craigslist ad from a disgruntled Landlord. He needs help clearing out some squatters from his recently purchased theatre.

Parts 1,2,3
Four shows reviewed in Part 1 of our Hollywood Fringe Fest Coverage. A cast starring litigious Mattel toys, a flightless fly, a guide on how to survive and even thrive at social gatherings, and a perfectly primetime-pride-timed werewolf parody all add up to a memorably wacky first weekend at HFF 2026. The shows: Doll Court, Maggie, Party Boy and Total Horror Show are among the many immersive and interactive productions at the annual event. Two covered in Part 2: an outrageous solo show, F*cking Famous and inventive follow-along interactive, The Mysteries of Persephone. Part 3 wraps up with a longform improv: The Solo Show SHOW, and an audience favorite, prop-driven immersive, Don't Kill Daisy.

The Fear Program
The premise is mysteriously intriguing. You’re invited to become a “Temporary Fear Assistant” for a cryptic organization known as The Institute of Fear Processing. Your assignment is to visit a young girl in a re-creation of her bedroom at this hidden facility and help convince her that the monster hiding in her closet isn’t there at all but is only a figment of a vivid imagination. An inventive first-time interactive production where you discover that some monsters are real.
